There has been lots of chatter recently about the Los Angeles tech scene. Some say it’s hot, other say it’s not. Regardless of opinions, it’s a fact that LA has been a source of innovation and creativity for decades - most notably in film, movies and television. Now, LA’s tech scene - aka Silicon Beach - has become a thriving hub for many tech startups, including textPlus.

Several key people have been committed to the growth and success of sustainable business in LA. textPlus founders Scott Lahman, Austin Murray and Zack Norman are among these leaders, first starting JAMDAT (a mobile gaming company) together, and now building textPlus. As a result, Scott (our CEO) has been named by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to the Los Angeles Mayor’s Council on Innovation and Industry.

Scott proudly joins 24 other local-area leaders to promote LA as a national hub for innovation, entrepreneurship and venture capital. He brings his expertise in building and maintaining successful companies, as well as his passion for why Los Angeles is a great city for business.
